Privacy Policy — K Player

K Player is a video player for the files already stored on your phone. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not send anywhere.

Your videos stay on your phone

K Player reads video files from your device so it can list and play them. No video, audio, subtitle file, file name, folder name or file path is ever uploaded, copied off the device, or shared with anyone. Playback happens entirely on your phone.

What the app does send

• Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) — when the app stops unexpectedly, a technical report is sent so the fault can be fixed. It contains the error, the device model and the Android version.
• Anonymous format statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase) — when a video is opened, the app records the container and codec (for example mp4, hevc), a rounded file size, a duration range, and whether playback succeeded. This is how we learn which video formats need support. File names and paths are never included.
• Advertising (Google AdMob) — the app shows ads, and the ads SDK collects a device advertising identifier and approximate, IP-derived location to select and measure them.
• Settings delivery (Firebase Remote Config) — the app fetches configuration values. No personal data is sent.

What the app never collects

• Your name, email address, phone number or contacts
• Your precise location
• The contents, names or locations of your files
• Any account — K Player has no sign-in

Permissions and why

• Photos and videos — to find and play the videos on your device. This is the app's core function.
• All files access — optional. Android hides folders whose name begins with a dot, and folders marked private by downloaders, from apps. Without this permission those videos cannot be listed or played. It is used only to read video files and to move a file when you choose to hide it. The app never deletes or changes a file you did not act on, and has no file-management features.
• Internet — for ads, crash reports, statistics, and for playing a network stream if you open one.

Children

K Player is not directed at children under 13.

Your choices

You can withdraw all-files access at any time in Android Settings → Apps → K Player → Permissions. You can reset or delete the advertising identifier in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on your device.
